A self-taught wood artist, Deborah Rice evolved her craft after many years of running her own Jewelry business in Brooklyn, NY. Her pieces have been commissioned by museum stores and boutiques from New York to LA. That eye for design and handwork informs her woodworking practice, layered with an appreciation for the beauty of reclaimed materials — each with its own history, weathering and character.

Her ethos is one of continual exploration — experimenting with form, scale, joinery and unexpected pairings of materials. Each object is conceived not as product, but as artistry for the home: sculptural, tactile, and meant to be lived with.
